Katelynn Nily

A year and a half ago Katelynn was not doing well. She had a terrible asthma attack and had to be rushed to Wolfson Children’s Hospital, where she was a patient for a week. After she was released from the hospital, Katelynn quickly had to return for a second week of treatment.
While she was at Wolfson Children’s, her physicians prescribed a daily at home routine of Singular and a breathing treatment.
After the second hospitalization, Katelynn has been healthy ever since. Her family is thankful that they knew to take her to Wolfson Children’s Hospital if there was an emergency. The physicians, nurses and staff helped to keep Katelynn going as she was in isolation for so long. She even had a Jacksonville Jaguar come visit one day. This is just one of the things that makes a children’s hospital unique, everything is oriented to children’s needs.
Katelynn’s family believes it is important to understand the needs of the entire community, and children should be first.
