Yasmeen Walker

Diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia at birth, Yasmeen lived a full life and did not have any major complications or crisis. Yasmeen had only been hospitalized once at six months old with a fever of 102. Her temperature was not from any Sickle Cell complications.

At age eleven Yasmeen had a stroke.  She is recovering well from the stroke, but has to have monthly blood transfusions. Yasmeen also suffered some memory loss, but  is doing better in school and at home. She seems to be enjoying her first year of high school.

Yasmeen was known as the miracle child, because doctors  would only see her 2 to 3 times a year. This was a blessing from God!
