When Paul's son Luke was born with spina bifida, Paul and Amy Wilson spent the first weeks of their son’s life feeling distraught and helpless, each trying to find some way to help their baby.
During this time, Paul paced the halls of Wolfson Children's Hospitals' lobby looking at a pictorial display that showcases the hospital’s history. Paul wanted to give back to Wolfson for helping his son, Luke. He decided to run a mile for every year Wolfson has been helping children.
"Wolfson gave me the greatest gift:
my son had
the chance to celebrate
his first birthday and every
one after
that. This is me giving back!"
